so it was a grey drizzly saturday and I ended up going to Daiso - a great Japanese store where most things are $2

Some of what I bought - a happy sponge, a spoon rest and black cotton swabs

I love the packages

they have these great storage containers

the mall it is in is an Asian/Chinese one - worth a visit if you are in the Vancouver area... home to the only Giordano store in Canada - the H&M of asia

this is a musical fountain which does shows hourly

i love the sky lights

stumbled across a new home magazine on the rack. It's brought to us by Readers Digest. http://www.freshhomemag.com/

Just some random pics from the last while

new light

so the other day I had a bit of a flood or leak - i woke up to discover water flowing out of the light fixture in my kitchen and the floor was soaked etc. so out of that I had to get a new fixture and for the first time I can see what I am doing in the kitchen! yay

the hallway in my building is being repainted - before or during... you can see the colour in the corners... a beigey tawny colour - it was a semi gloss off white before and the walls were quite "shiny" the new finish is flat and imo much nicer





After - its a bit darker but feels warmer

the corner - colour is not too easy to capture
